Tim Close is a native of Berkeley Springs, WV. Over 15 years ago he opened TBC Insurance in Hancock, MD, and served Fulton County, PA, Washington County, MD, and Morgan County, WV. Working in the Hancock, MD office is agent Trudy Dickerhoff with over 20 years of experience, and Ginger Whiteside with 5 years just here at TBC. Manager and partner directing the Hancock office is Chris Smartt. Chris is a native of Fulton County and a MBA graduate of Frostburg University. Back in 2000 he started working at TBC, and it wasn’t long till it was evident he was a perfect fit for the Hancock office. In 1996 Tim saw a growing need for an agency back in his home town of Berkeley Springs, WV. He decided to open a second office in Berkeley Springs. He knew if he used the same values and beliefs as in Hancock and along with the residents of Morgan County the Berkeley Springs office would be a success.

Building a brand new office building with his twin brother Tom Close, CPA in 1999 TBC Insurance is located at 1680 Valley Road in the “ Gemini Center”. The building houses Berkeley Date Processing, People’s Mutual Fire Insurance, and TBC Insurance. Agents in the Berkeley Springs office are Maritza Miller and Amy Stull. Maritza has been with TBC for over 10 years and Amy just joined us in 2006 and brings with her more than 10 years of insurance experience also. In 2005 Tim brought his son Aaron in to the Berkeley Springs office. The residents of Morgan County are the reason our agency has been able to stay in business.
